About The Crested Butte Clay Studio

Crested Butte Clay Studio is a ceramics studio that focuses on building community through clay and creativity. It was started by Luisa Naughton who has been working with clay for 30 years and wanted to share her love of ceramics with her community. We offer studio memberships to self-guided ceramic artists and provide a fully equipped studio in which to create. We also offer a range of classes in hand-building, wheel-throwing, and sculpture to kids and adults, rentals for small parties, workshops throughout the year, an annual pottery showcase, and a gallery of ceramic art.

The Studio is equipped with 10 Shimpo whisper wheels, a slab roller, wedging tables, extruder, 2 electric Skutt 1227 kilns, hand building tables, clay tools, three cone 6 clay bodies, a variety of cone 6 glazes, underglazes, slips, and more.
